We are currently seeking preschool teachers who have a combination of early childhood and teaching English as second language (ESL) qualification and experience to start both in Hanoi and HCMC immediately.

Requirements: - Native English speaker - A Diploma or Bachelor Degree in early childhood education or a Bachelor Degree in any field - TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certificate - Previous experience in early childhood environment is a plus - Experience in different approaches such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Play-based learning… is a plus - A positive attitude

- Salary package: Full time teacher package is from USD1400-2000 per month/ net depending on qualification, experience and type of teaching work. - Visa and work permit support - Health care insurance - Language support - Good facilities and friendly supportive working environment - Training and orientation into programs will be provided prior to teaching - Monthly programs, including all teaching materials - Full-time Vietnamese teachers to support you in the classroom - The duration is a 1 year contract.

More information about teaching and living in Vietnam: 1. Qualifications and experience:
ESL teachers in Vietnam are required to have a minimum bachelor’s degree and a certificate in teaching English as Second Language, either TESOL, CELTA or TEFL. Previous teaching experience is a plus. Homeroom teachers will need qualification in related field, i.e early childhood teachers will need diploma/degree in childcare plus a TESOL/CELTA, TEFL the environment will be mainly immersion or bilingual for non-native children. 2. Salary and benefits:
Teachers will be paid monthly based on how many teaching hours per week and month. The standard rate is from USD $20/teaching hour. Depending on full-time (considered working 5 days a week with about 18 hours a week) or part-time (limited hours or just relief teaching), teachers are entitled to health care benefits and paid holidays.
Full time teacher’s salaries start from USD $1300 per month in bilingual schools in Hanoi. 3. Legal requirements:
Teachers who stay more than 3 months to work are required apply for a work permit to be legally working in Vietnam. To apply for work permits, teachers need: - Certified copy of their degree and certificates. Degrees and certificates need to be certified in the countries where they are obtained. - Criminal record/clearance by police where you currently live. - Health check (can be done in Vietnam) - Passport. 4. Living cost in Vietnam (Hanoi – Hochiminh City:
The cost of living in Hanoi and HCMC is very reasonable. House rental is from USD $300-600 per month for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment or small house with full furniture. There are different housing options in Hanoi and HCMC. Teachers can either stay in a studio apartment with the cost of about USD300 or share bigger houses or apartments with other teachers. Food costs start at breakfast, from as little as VND10,000-30,000 (USD $1.5), a cup of coffee from VND10,000-30,000 (USD $1.5). Lunch or dinner, general eating out costs about VND 25,000-100,000 per standard meal (USD $1-4). Weekly grocery costs are about VND500,000 (USD $20-25) per person if cooking at home.
5. Transportation:
Teachers can buy or rent a motorbike to travel around. Public transport is fine (bus fares are VND7000 – less than 50 cents) but most the teachers prefer to travel by motorbike either by a motorbike driver or by their own motorbike. Renting a bike starts at USD $50 per month. Commuting with a motorbike taxi driver the cost is about VND50,000 (USD $2) per trip. Taxis are getting cheaper and cheaper due to the introduction of Grab taxi services. Alternatively, some teachers choose to live close to their teaching location as traffic can be quite challenging during peak hours. 6. Travel:
Vietnam is unquestionably a hub destination in Asia. Travel to other nations is quick and affordable. Many teachers also take advantage of the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture. Day trips and weekends away allow teachers to interact with locals, who are generous hosts and always ready with a warm welcome. Travel within Vietnam includes the famous Reunification Express - one of the world’s most amazing train journeys, linking Hanoi and HCMC. Flying to popular beach resort cities, such as Nha Trang or Danang (which should always include a trip to the ancient town of Hoi An and its famous tailors). Visit the historical city of Hue, enjoy the mild climate and French influence of Dalat (home to Vietnam’s thriving wine industry), and the mountainous Sapa (where it even snows in winter!). And, of course, along the way always enjoying Vietnam’s world famous coffee!
